DotNetBoyz.NET Present The first ever battle for the "King Of GRUDGE" in the north east with over $6000 in payouts.
These are the rules for the race. They are not yet set in stone, so if you think something should be added or changed, lets hear it.
The race will be happening at a track rental july 17 but we will be trying to make it as close to the street as possible. I already discussed the race with track officials and they gave the green light. Due to track policy,Spectators will not be welcome, racers and crew only

Rules
-Any Suspension
-No Backhalfs
-Frame notching is ok for tire clearance
-29x10.5(non W) or 295 Drag Radial
-Stock front clip(No round or square tube bolt in)
-Mustang Tubular k Frames are OK
-No Wheelie Bars
-Any Motor Combination is welcome
-Multiple power adders are allowed

-Weights

-BigBlock 3300lbs
-SmallBlocks 3000lbs
-BigBlocks on Motor 3000lbs
-SmallBlocks on Motor 2800lbs
-Racers must weigh in after every round or it will result in a DQ

Race Structure
-16 car field
-All races are HEADS UP
-Random Ladder
-Lane Choice set by coin toss
-1/4 Mile
-There will be no test passes(Straight off the trailer to the line)
-Track will not be prepped on race day(Track Officials already said OK)
-There will be no clocks, lights or trees on.
-All races will be flagged
-2 Cars move and it's a race
-Jumping game is allowed
-Crossing lanes anywhere when in front of your opponent will result in a DQ
-If you advance to the next round but hurt your car, you have until next round to fix it or your opponent will get a bi-run and you will be DQ'd
-Must meet NHRA specs

Track rental is $200 per car(Price went up this year)
The $200 will reserve your spot in the race. So buy in fast, i'm not reserving spots on words, money only
The buy-in for the race will $400, due on race day.
1st place will pay $5000 To WIN
Runner up gets $1400

$200 for the rental + 400 for the buy in ? $600 sounds like lot of money..now gas tolls and nitrous and its a $1000 dollars for the day...i would definatly wanna run the event but thats alot ! how are you picking races ?? names out of a hat ? and no test shots with no track prep..i never bitch about anything but damn these are some stiff rules !

Names will be drawn from a hat at random.
The reason for no test shots is to make it as street as possible.
As for the money i hear ya and will listen to what others think too. If the majority thinks it's to much then we will have to lower, but a killer payout to go 4 rounds is what i was

ASAP, already got a few calls and PM's about the buy in, but until i have the $ in my hand spots will be open

Looks and sounds real good to me! If we can get a few sponsors for the race then I can see the fee being lowered, but if you and your crew chip in like on the street then it won't hit your pocket as much! And like Petey said it's only 4 rounds and THE KING WILL BE CROWNED!!!!
Heard there will be a Big ass King of N.Y. trophy, but i'm not sure on that one!

maybee if you still have a spot in a couple weeks I will get in then

have spectators sign paper to enter at own risk. take first 100 or so charge them and drop the entry fee down also have all cars drive to lanes no tow

They get K-members but the early novas have to use the stock stub??

dragnova, it says stock front chassis, but you can alter the front cross members.

Rules sound great, and you can't please everyone. I would have it stock style suspension myself, but what can you do. There will definatly be some big hitters in the crowd.

If it wasn't for the jumping rule, I do believe Texas would be interested.

the non-track prep, no test shots, and the jumping rules are necessary in my opinion. Only way to prevent some real killer grudge cars from wiring the field without a sweat. Its a gamble for everyone.

in the event of a jump , if the oppenent stays still , is the jumper DQed or will there be a rerun
